From The Archives: Hallucination Generation

In 1998, I had my first poem published by the Poetry Guild in a nice Anthology of poetry.  I was 20.  Here is that poem.

The illusions of today,

With the reality of tomorrow,

Doses of nonexistent morality,

A psychotic cure for nothing,

The smell of sweet incense,

The sense of freedom,

Lost in a dream,

Caught in a trance,

Tripping through this world,

Everything is just a dream,

Label me with obscurity,

Sedate my delusion,

Misconceived by privilege,

Looking through this broken glass,

Reflections of my wasted past,

Future thoughts, hallicinations of our generation.

(As you can see I’ve grown tenfold as a writer, ha).
